Trash Service
To limit the number of trash trucks going through the neighborhood, Whitfield Woods negotiated a neighborhood rate with AMERICAN DISPOSAL. Recently, America and Waste Connection merged our location pickups. Currently,Waste Connection has accepted the existing agreement. Our rate fluctuates between $17 and $19 per month (due to an allowable fuel surcharge). This rate includes every week trash and every other week recycling pickup.
In order to get the neighborhood rate, you must call, provide your address (and account #), identify yourself as a homeowner in this Whitfield Woods HOA neighborhood, and confirm the rate. If Whitfield Woods maintains a 92% participation, they provide free seasonal pool trash service, which saves our community hundreds of $ a year. Dogs in Whitfield Woods
There have been numerous complaints about dogs in the neighborhood.
Did you all know Cobb County has several ordinances relating to pets? For example, the County limits a dog barking to a max of 15 minutes, then the Cobb County Police and Animal Control can be called to address the problem. With this in mind, PLEASE address your barking dog/s. Don’t leave your dog outside unattended. If your dog starts barking, bring them inside immediately.
PLEASE pick up after your dogs. Carry doggy bags & if your dog poops, pick it up and take it back to your house for proper disposal.
Also, there is a leash law in Cobb County. If your dog is off your property, it MUST be on a leash.
